How Did Remington Get Its Name?

This is an attempt to see how many readers of my blog are up on Remington history.  Remington used to be called Carpenter Station.  Carpenter’s creek and Carpenter’s grove got its name from an old hunter by the name of Carpenter, who died around 1840.  It’ believed that he froze to death from the intense cold.  There’s no exact location of his burial.  Not to long after that as Carpenter Station began to develop, some how Remington got its name.

So for you history and trivia buffs, let’s see if you know the answer to “How Did Remington Get It’s Name?”.  I look forward to seeing your responses below.
